Like so many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. After a streak of disappointing dates, Hanna didn’t expect much when she matched with Jonathan on Bumble — but his warmth and easy conversation convinced her to give one more first date a try.A few days later at a local brewery, her nerves melted almost instantly. We talked and laughed as if we’d known each other for years, the conversation gliding effortlessly from silly to sincere. By the end of the night, a second date felt certain.Somewhere between that first brewery meet-up and the days that followed, Hanna felt something shift. Jonathan let her ramble through all her quirks without judgment, meeting her weirdness with laughter and affection. For the first time in a long while, she felt fully herself.Jonathan’s realization struck on a spontaneous dinner date. Watching Hanna light up at the unknown — her excitement, her adventurous spirit — he felt something click. This is my person, he thought.The proposal became its own little adventure. Jonathan bought the ring right after Thanksgiving and plotted multiple elaborate plans, all of which fell apart one by one. Eventually, he realized he didn’t need perfection — just honesty.So, on a quiet Saturday morning, with a once-in-a-decade snowstorm swirling outside, he knelt in Hanna’s living room and asked her to marry him. No theatrics, just love — warm and steady against the winter world. He even hid a camera so their families could share in the moment later.And that’s how our forever began: with a swipe, a spark, and a love that fell into place more easily than either of us ever expected. We can’t wait to continue this adventure, surrounded by the people who’ve cheered us on from the start.
